2) How long will the installation of my new kitchen take?

The majority of installations will be completed within 2 days but again will depend on the complexity of the job. We understand that not having a working kitchen is a huge inconvenience to any household and will do our best to minimise the disruption.

3) Will it take longer to have a granite benchtop installed?

Yes. Custom fitted kitchens need to be scribed to follow the contours of the wall. For laminated benchtops this can be done on site. For solid stone benchtops this generally requires specialised machinery so is done off site. Kitchen Studio may provide a temporary bench top at your request for you to use until your solid benchtop has been returned.

4) What are your payment terms?

Once you have designed your kitchen and you have signed a contract we ask for a 50% deposit. Your deposit is protected by Kitchen Studio’s Total Trust Deposit Guarantee - a service that only Kitchen Studio offers. The balance of payment is then due prior to installation?

New Bunnings/Masters Stores via easy home renovating

The Home Depot clone, Bunnings, has announced the building of 12 new warehouses and two new trade centres in Queensland. This is on top of the prior announcements of 18 new stores to be built in NSW. This will be at a cost of a billion a year. Bunnings has been expanding its network by 24 new stores a year, continuously, across Australia. They are even building a double storey Bunnings, in Chatswood,NSW.

Woolworths/Lowes/Masters, has announced it plans to build 150 Masters stores across Australia. In Victoria, some 20 sites have been fast tracked for the building of these home improvement stores. These stores will have the advantage of pre ordering over the Internet, thus as you arrive at the store you can pick up the renovation goods directly or have them delivered free. Masters first store will open in Braybrook, Victoria, First of September, 2011. Closely, followed by five more stores before Christmas.

I expect, this massive expenditure on new renovation ideas stores, suggests a favourable view of the hardware renovations market. These giant companies dont budget to spend billions without extensive prior research. The renovation and home improvement market now, substantially exceeds the new home building market. The latest sales results from Bunnings show the Home improvement market is growing faster than groceries.
