About the Author

Tim Easyhomerenovating is an experienced renovator who struggled to acquire his first property, and has repeated many hands-on home renovation projects.

After completing concurrent degrees in economics and agricultural economics, majoring in business, finance, accounting, and agricultural economics, Tim found employment with AMP Society in the Superannuation Industry. Electing to study building materials and construction companies led him to a study of the property industry. He learned about real estate, and formed the view that a house :even though it may be heavily mortgaged could be a business asset, rather than a personal liability.

From 2002 to 2004, Tim worked as a Mortgage Originator in a small business. This provided an education in accessing capital for property investment.

Completing a short Real Estate Agency course in 2003 positioned him to continue studies and 2004 and become a Licensed Real Estate Agent.

Saving a deposit to acquire his first home, in Sandringham, was tough!  Fortunately, Tim was able to purchase a small two-bedroom timber cottage at land value, so his first venture into renovation carried zero risk. The profits set him up with confidence to build an enterprise. In 2001, he began renovating homes for clients.

By 2011,Tim had completed twenty-seven successful renovation projects. Hope you all like my stories about Kitchens, Bathrooms, new building products, Finance and the property market.
